| Hi gents, Anyone has or knows how good these are? Price is decent I think and they look great. Hand protection is a nice bonus, I'd rather have that than separate shields. What do you think? Decent find?

| Not sure about the size.. I'm over 6f but apparently you're meant to be able to see over the windshield to avoid glare in sunny weather (?)
Not fussed about bolts as it probably takes a minute to unscrew. I'd be worried about the forks though and getting them scratched with mounts.i

| Screens should ideally be at the hight of your top lip apparently, something to do with buffeting and air flow. | |

| Marcin, Simbo's right ... I do have one of these. No Crash, it's not detachable ( well not quickly anyway ).Marcin, don't worry about scratching the forks with the mounts. the screen comes with 2 sets of rubber "sheets" designed to wrap around the fork tubes underneath the brackets. The 2 sets are different thicknesses presumably so the fitting kit is universal. regardless of the diameter of your fork tubes. The rubber acts as a cushion for the brackets and also stops the brackets from slipping on the fork tubes, good design really
Simbo's right - I do rate this screen very highly. It keeps wind, rain and anything else off me completely, little / no buffeting behind it, the only downside is that with it being so big, it picks up lots of bugs etc in summer. Having said that if you have it set correctly this isn't a problem as it doesn't interfere with your vision.
I have the top of mine set level with the bridge of my nose ... this enables me to ride with the visor up on my full face helmet in winter or with an open face helmet in summer with very little wind disturbance. It also helps with reducing turbulence for the pillion ( according to my good lady )
The hand protection works quite well although as I've now fitted 2" risers to my bars, I don't get the benefit of this now as the "hand" pieces are too low down.
I thought long & hard before buying due mainly to the price, but now I'd recommend this screen to anyone and certainly wouldn't swap mine for any others that I've seen on the market. I've tried 3 screens since I got the bike, this is by far the best of the 3 although you're right mate, they are pretty pricey - especially when you've paid the duty on it.
Hope this helps with your buying decision buddy, let me know if you need any more info or advice
Cheers .... Mick | |

| Cheers for that Mick.
Setting it right correctly - does it mean you can adjust up/down?
I thought 130ish quid is not bad altohugh I haven't thought about the duty tax...I know nothing about that... is that an extra? :/

| Marcin, delivery is $15.68 then import duty is $57.29 plus the cost of the screen, total would be roughly £170.00 delivered to your door. | |

| I've just re-read the ebay page too...didn't notice that 57$ before...darn it haha It's still achievable for a nice piece of windshield like that. I had bad experiences with returns lately and I guess trying to return to US would make quite a messy experience....especially when you need to cover the postage... *shrug* I have dark visions of it coming in pieces or cracked. | |

I've bought things from the USA before without issue, The screen material is very robust and difficult to crack in most situations, but as you say returns could be costly.

| Most of the things I have bought for bikes for the last 6 years or so have been from across the pond and always without issue, so far! | |

| Mine came in at nearly £300 when everything had been paid ( exchange rates were higher then ).
Seems like a good deal to me ... although I can't vouch for the shipping from this company. Mine came really well packaged and was shipped via UPS. Absolutely no issues with it whatsoever.
I don't think you'd have any problems Marcin, but you should go with what you think is right

| Well I sent them a message with few questions. Best to get some info at source I guess. If I like what I'll hear, I just might get myself a nice piece of kit | |

| Topic coming back to life with my birthday approaching I got a bit confused though...as I've noticed that there are two types of the same screen....for normal and tapered forks. Mine aren't exactly straight so I assume I'd have to go for the tapered version?? Anyway...just for laugh...here is another supplier...trick is to check the postage: linky | |

Sorry Marcin, I have looked at both the links you have supplied and I can not see in either of them any mention of taper? Maybe I need to open my eyes.

I will post the link once I'm back home mate.

| That's the other one I found that got me confused.
Tapered forks
Now I've actually read into it and it does say that it fits both normal and tapered. It does go on to say though that it's especially for tapered.
Lol worthy is that a contradiction of what :]

| Nice shield. I just installed an ss-20. Yours looks better. The ss-20 is adequate, but not what I am looking for. | |

| The topic reappears as pay day approaches.
Having serious issues with trying NOT to mod the bike I need to sate my hunger by purchasing screen that will aid me in upcoming months while riding longer distances.
Mick, How tall are you? I keep looking at that photo of your bike and it looks like I'd be completely covered instead of being able to look over it.
I got a choice or 16" and 20" and I'd rather not go with smaller than I can....

| Hi Marcin, I'm 5ft 6" .... so nowhere near as tall as you. trust me, you'll be able to set the screen low enough to see over it mate. I think the 16" would be waaayyyyy to short for you, the 20" will be just fine. I have about 1" between the centre of the headlight and the screen cutout and it's just the right height for me at 5'6". As I said in my earlier comment, I love this screen and wouldn't swap it for any other I've seen. Does a great job and very easy to fit too. Hope this helps with your decision mate, but if you want to meet up before you buy and have a closer look at mine, then I can probably meet you next weekend at some point, depending on what the weather's like. Just let me know bud | |

| Ah good man, that's what I wanted to hear!
Ordering as soon as I get paid. Quite surprised they're acrylic, not polycarbonate though.... from what I gather that means that they shatter on impact :/

| I think you're right...I'm overdoing it as usual. Was watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WziCrDgS0Q and started wondering about the material... Then again...I don't expect anybody trying to whack me with a baseball bat or shoot with shotgun | |

| My bike had a 21 inch MS wind shield when I got it. With the the lowers it did a good job. It also would give you an option to remove it http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/3/13/428/11943/ITEM/Memphis-Shades-Memphis-Fats-21-Inch-Windshield.aspx?SiteID=Google_PLA428&WT.mc_ID=10012&esvt=0-GOUSC&esvadt=9-0-3886819-1&esvaid=30548&kw={keyword}&gclid=COHenfSxy7YCFRRwnAodkhwAXg | |
