| Any recommendations for forward controls? Have the the ones from Highway Hawk but was wondering if anyone had problems with these or suggest others? | |

| I would love to get rid of my floor boards and go for forward controls but I would have the hastle of having to push my crash bars forward. At some stage I will do this so I will watch this thread with interest. | |

| I have the Jardines on my M50 http://www.jardineproducts.com/index.php/cruiser/accessories-cruiser/cruiser-forward-controls/billet-forward-controls-731.html
The main reason for the choice was that they were cheap on ebay but they were easy to fit.
I am about 5'10" and I found that my ankles were cramping up with the mid controls. I love them as it made the ride so much more comfortable and I can stretch my legs out straight on them when I want to.

| I bought a H-H set for a Drag Star i had a few years ago, and i will never buy one from them again. Its was cheap, but not not without a reason. Poor chrome and bad fitting. Why not try with a Johns Kit, i have just fitted a set to my M800 Lo, looks great fits perfect.

| Thanks for the info, again. The johns kit is very reasonable, plus I already have aftermarket pegs so they wouldn't go to waste either | |

| I have the Highway Hawk ones... WHAT a difference that has made to my riding comfort being a giraffe. Chrome quality is OK, rather than brilliant, and I did have a scary moment coming down a sliproad when the vibration in the assembly made it dismantle itself - fortunately I lost gearchange not brakes! It was easy to fix ... just a new nut... and this time I used LOCNUT on the threads when reassembling!! Ps... I had driven from Manchester to Le Mans & back, so I guess some 'wear & tear' is expected. Pricey little fellas, but I do like them. | |

| They do look very sweet Mal, I think over time a few of the guys have complained about the not so good quality of highway hawk stuff. I think they heed a little extra care to stop them going a lovely shade of rust | |

| Love em, I think forward controls look so cool but at your size they must make riding nice and comfy as well. | |

| Hi Bigmal, I'm fitting those same controls on my bike. Yesterday I got the left side on, today or tomorrow I should get to work with the right side: did you have to pull down the exhast to reach in, or is it easy to fit the bolt that connects the "long pole" to the brake? | |

| Hi Raph It was a few years ago, but me & a pal fitted them without a problem. No need to move the coxhaust. Just lie on the ground and reach in to assemble the long pole (connection rod). Good luck. By the way your English is BELLISSIMO! | |

| I actually ordered my forward controls from Spacer Jim's who makes aftermarket parts for Suzukis a lot better priced than the main aftermarket businesses..he is a individual who has quite a selection of items exclusively for our bikes plus a few other makes and models..Ilike his stuff and the prices are way better.. | |

| I also put runnung boards on with theses forward controls and used some boards I got from a swap meet..had to modify some and I bought the inner foot peg mounts from Suzuki and bolted my running boards to them..seemed to work good..took some trial and error but I do like what I have now.. | |

| I can recommend the John's Kit forwards highly. Here in the USA at least they aren't too expensive and the design and quality were very nice. Brakes and shifts like stock. Much nicer ride for me. | |

I wish he made a kit for the Marauder 800 but unfortunately he doesn't. Already shot him an email about it.
