having just bought my first VX800 1990 with no history at 17k miles, what should I do-check ?, I am guessing oil/plugs/filters/brakes, is there anywhere I can get a manual for this bike ?

Hi, yeah change the Oil & Filter if you have no history of how long it's been in there? also give the plugs and air filter a looking at along with the brake fluid, check all the rubber hoses for deterioration, check the manufacture date of the tyres and replace if older than 5 years, check the drive shaft splines for moly paste and re lube while you've got it apart, give all the linkages a looking over and lube where necessary. Workshop manual? there used to be a link for a downloadable one on the site but it doesn't seem to work anymore? so either eBay or wait to see if a member has a link to a downloadable one.
