What's this screw??

Hey guys,

I ride a 2007 fuel injected m50 and just above my idle adjustment screw, there is a smaller Philips head screw with a spring..can anyone tell me what it's for? Seems to be on the same lever as the idle screw but why two screws? I've scanned the manual and searched on here before posting, apologies if this topics been asked alot before
