Front wheel speed sensor

Right, just so everyone knows .... if your front wheel speed sensor packs up ( the part that connects to the speedo via the headlamp shell), beware when you replace it, they are model year specific.

Part No's are below for reference

VL800 / VZ800 : 2001 - 2004 ........... part number 34990 - 41F00. Unit has 2 magnets

VL800 /C800 / C50 or VZ800 / M800 / M50 : 2005 - present ..... part number 34990 - 41F10 . Unit has 4 magnets.

Both are same price from dealer at £128.00 ( very salty ! )

Hope this prevents anyone from making the same mistake as I did and buying the wrong one

Cheers for the assist gents and thanks for the heads up on the model specific Twojobmick, I would have assumed they would all be the same.
Can't believe the price, I could get an industrial electro magnet for that much!
Might strap one of them to the front wheel and see what happens Front wheel speed sensor 65147
