Our Sow Thefricun government goes out of it's way to force us to have huge ugly numberplates. Lately the traffic cops have been collecting revenues from all bikers with illegal plates, so I built this entire bike around the stoooopid ugly thing , to kinda give the finger.

Oh how I wish we could have small plates like the USA , no quicker way to mess up a custom build, be it bobber, chop, or cafe racer , than put an aesthetic disaster on the back ! And it's too fugly to side mount ....

*sigh*

Reckon I'll keep it's induction stock, a while , but a full Stage 3 is not ruled out yet ! Reckon I can squeeze + 15 bhp from it without opening the motor. But maybe I should leave it be ? ( For ONCE !!! )

Our wonderfully free country of open pipes , open roads , and relaxed laws is slowly but surely giving way to Nanny State , but at least Big Brother is not watching our every move , there are still places out of town where 170mph + is do-able .....

Wow 170mph on a '98 VZ 800 - I must have the wrong bike!

*chuckle* , yup , we are talking highly modified badass heavy breather GSF1200S for that level of civil disobedience. I don't even know how fast my Marauder goes , maybe it even does 100mph ? I did manage to overtake a Harley once , in a battle-of-the-donkeys : ) , it just seems wrong to work it hard. I'd far rather my 800 lasted all the way to my rocking chair.

Well, I must say John, you've "violated" that really well.

Don't think even the purists could complain about that ( do we have any purists on this site? .......everyone seems to want to modify here ).

Nice bike bud, like where you've put the reg plate, it makes it look like part of the bike

Keep finding new bits to take off



The main serious business is a Stage 3 + 10bhp performance upgrade , using K&N clamp-ons , and possibly VX800 carb needles ???

Still working up a starting point strategy though.

Meantime , a brag pic , seeing there is a nice brag pic folder here *grin*

Oh , I have been naughty and unfaithful to my 800 , I've been hacking into an innocent little GN400. As 400 is half  800 , and it IS a Suzuki  , and ....hey !!! .... maybe it's got a similar piston , perhaps a wee wander only off-topic will sneak under the radar ? 

To come back to 800's ever so sneakily , here's a tip on how to warm a tyre for easy removal from the rim:- ( apologies I think sit's somewhere else on this site ? But it has some small entertainment value ? )    

I love your styling with bikes John & why not have a little fun for the photo shoot or just for the crack.

Hey man, Sweeeeeet looking bike, quick question, did you just cut the back fender or did you move it to the front? With all due respect I think I'll copy (or at least try to) your back fender cut, it looks really good and works with what I'm trying to do with mine.
