LUGGAGE RACK

Planning to make a luggage rack for my Volusia when i have only the riders seat on and place it where the pillion seat should be. Has anybody made one in the past as any ideas would be a big help. Many thanks. Dave.

Dave the easiest way to go is first of all, get yourself a cheap rack off ebay or simular,and the fabricate some fittings to make it work.This way you have the basics made for you,it is just a couple of stays to be made to suit.

Cheers for that Alfie92. I made one from scratch when I had my Kawasaki drifter as there was nothing on the market in those days.

I agree with Alfie, that way you will have a very wide range to choose from.

Thanks for all the advise. Found a rack off an old Kawasaki vn750 on ebay so have a bid on it. Looks ideal for what i need and should be fairly easy to modify to fit behind the riders seat.

All systems go on the luggage rack. Got outbid on 3 items in the last seconds on Ebay before finally getting one last night. Grinder and welder at the ready so lets have fun.
