Recifier recall

Has anyone had the Rectifier recall done. I have not. What does it involve. Is it a major tear down to fix. I talked to my dealer about getting it done yesterday. Is it a major problem? Am I right by thinking the more electronics you add the more the problem?

Hi Tex, I've had mine done, it was about a thirty minute job, it's located behind the swingarm cover on the left hand side of the bike.

I just talked to my dealer where i bought it. They are going to order it. should take about a week he said. It is 90 miles away so when it comes in I will ride it down and they can fit it while I wait for it. Thanks Sim

Your welcome Tex It's something to do with the glue on the back of the rectifier, apparently is not up to scratch, I've not heard of any failures though? so maybe it's just precautionary.
