| Ok, so I want to raise the drag bars on my bike by about an inch or so. The drag bars on the Marauder are welded to the risers so I can't simply switch out risers and I'd rather not spend the money replacing the bars. Does anyone know of extension to put under the risers to lift them up by about an inch? Thanks guys. | |

| I've had a look for VZ800 risers, But no-one seems to do them? one option would be, get some vl800 2" risers and get them milled down to the same diameter as your risers that are welded to the bars and cut them to the length you require, They'd only be aluminium but easy enough to polish up. | |

That's not a bad idea but i just found these. http://www.amazon.com/LA-Choppers-Extension-Handlebar-LA-7414-01/dp/B006B250QK/ref=sr_1_36?ie=UTF8&qid=1367427711&sr=8-36&keywords=handlebar+riser+extension The Marauder bars are a little weird. At the bottom the bars flute out to 1 3/8". They don't make risers for 1 3/8" diameter bars, only for 1 1/4" and 1 1/2". The 1 1/2" would be too big. That bars would fit down into the 1 1/2" but there would be open space for water and dirt to get into it and I don't think it would look very clean. I'm going to get the risers for the 1 1/4" bars and just mill off 1/8" of the diameter of the bottom of the bars. Should work out perfectly.

| Here's what I mean by the bars at the bottom flute out. | |

| Would milling the end of the bar risers not remove the chrome though? If so I'd be more inclined to mill the 1 1/2" risers, you can always buff ally as opposed to steel bars, The recessed part could easily be removed by grinding or on a milling machine. | |

Absolutely it would remove the chrome but only on the edge of the flared out part. And if you see how the risers are made, the bars sit down into the risers so the milled down edge will be covered by the riser itself. I'll coat the milled edge with an anti-corrosion treatment and Bob's your uncle.

| Seating the bars down into the riser extension is better than just having the riser extension the same diameter as the bars. It's possible that if the extension was the same diameter and the bars didn't seat down into them you could torque the bars and they could end up cockeyed. The extensions that seat the bars into them would prevent that from happening. Else I could just get the extension made for the 1 1/4" bars and I'm betting the outside diameter is right about 1 3/8". | |

| Yep I understand The milled part of the bars would sit inside the recess of the risers and be hidden, keep us informed of the outcome I've got 2" risers on mine and they make a massive difference comfort wise. | |

These are my 2" risers, to fit them, I just cut a length of threaded bar 2" longer and screwed a nut and washer on the bottom.

| That's a great find. I just wish they were 1" or 1.5", not .75". | |
