Powder coated wheels

I'm thinking  of having my wheels powder coated over the winter. Has anyone done this and got pics. I took my bike in this morning for it's MOT and got chatting to a  with a 1500 drifter that had just had it done. Looked really good. Only £180 for the pair.

I've seen it done in pictures, but never close up, did the drifter have all the wheels done? hub,spokes and rim or just certain parts, Sounds interesting Rattler, I wouldn't mind having my rims and hubs black but keeping silver spokes.

The Drifter had hubs, spokes and rims done. Looked well good. The bike shop strips it down, sends it off for powder coating and puts it back together with 3 day turn around.

Sounds like a good deal  which bike shop? might be interesting for future reference.

Thats a very good price I may very well get the M wheel coated when I fit them to my C.

I have a friendly contact who has access to powder coating facilities.  If people are interested I'll ask if he wouldn't mind doing this and at what price

Things are looking good.  The last time my contact had a frame done it cost £120 for shot blast and powder coat.  I have a name and contact number so will make the call during the week and see what we can do with the wheels.

Right Chaps.  I've had a chat and it appears we can get a very good price from my man.

The guy you want is Colin at Collingbourne Coatings and he will shot blast and powder coat wheels for £45 per wheel.  Obviously at that price you need to get them there and collect them but that is half the price that Rattler has been quoted.
