Alternator to rectifier fault (protect it)

Good evening, was doing some work on project Virago the other day and found this..................................... I know this is an old bike but quite often the connections from the rectifier to alternator are hidden away, the block had not been adequatley waterproofed and had rotted and then burnt the spade connectors, it might be worth checking and if there is no  waterproofing compound in there use vasaline or silicone grease, don,t use the electrical grease sold at motor factors in small tubes as this will dry out, hope this article prevents a few problems, regards to all Doc Cox E=MC2:ride:

Good shout there Doc, one thing I have learned here from you and Mr I is that Vasaline on all electrical components is a must. Cheers
