Perfect colour (that's color Tex, if your reading). I once read that the biking purist says 'the only colour for a bike is black'. Certainly shows the chrome up a treat. One neat bike !

Quick update on this thread ... no riding for a few weeks for my missus coz of a shoulder & wrist injury but she has been busy buying / fitting things to her bike to make her mark on it. Fitted so far :

Sissy bar / rack
Panniers / pannier supports
Leather top case
Tasselled lever covers

next on the list will be a screen and then probably engine bars .

The pannier supports / sissy bar / lever covers came from our friend Mike at Custom Cruisers with the customary site discount.

The panniers / top case came from a company called SAKO in Poland. I initially saw them on the US ebay site but contacted them and bought from them direct. Brilliant service, very good quality kit and very reasonable prices. The panniers are reinforced with plastic card and hold their shape absolutely even when empty, same with the top case. Delivery was around £15.00 and they came within a week and arrived really well packaged and in perfect condition. the whole set, including the small bags attached to the ends of the top case came to around £150.00 including the carriage which compared to other items we looked at was very reasonable.

Oh man that is looking great, I bet she loves it. You 2 are turning that in to a really beautiful machine. Bet your going to love riding with her on that and she will love riding with you. Thanks for the update and I hope she is up to riding it soon

Very nice bike!

I had a VL125, sorry I had to do this with it as soon as I got it!  I've just sold it recently, it was great fun though.

I can relate to that!  

Hey what do you know, I found a couple of pics of my VL125 when I first bought it.... bobbed it as soon as I got it home!

VL125 bobber ... Love it!

Only wish my missus could get on hers but the aforementioned injury is still preventing her from riding and looks set to continue to do so for a while yet  :aghh: 

Mick has her mishap caused her to be a little nervous, hope she gets over it or the injury gets better soon as the good weather is on its way and she will be able to enjoy it

Mick do you still have the info regarding the leather top bag supplier at all please as I may be looking for a small one for my own bike.
