| I fancy a top case for my M800, and spotted this one, which I really like. I know it doesn’t exactly go with the style of the bike, but I want something practical. Any comments??... Would it fit ok if I remove my sissy back rest, and secure it to my existing rack?? Any ideas or concerns welcome.http://images.esellerpro.com/2189/I/635/39/Givi-Trekker-TRK52N-3.jpg | |

| Looks practical...I love the fact that it appears to be shaped to take 2 helmets in. | |

| Isn't your existing rack part of the sissy bar? I know mine is.
Looks good though. Handy rack on lid too.

Yes Paul I think it will work ok. They box I have on my Trike is similar and I removed the sissy bar and it fits just fine. Hope that helps you.

| " /> Here is one fitted to my M800,what I done was got an old triumph rack (I already had one) and modified it for the Intruder. When I tried to use the one with the back rest removed from the original one for the M800 I found it very poor and not up to the job.I feel these are only for show and not practiable for everyday use.Mine is now a permanant fixture although it is only a few seconds to take off if required.I personally go for practicality over looks.Good luck on your venture. | |

| Paul just to add go to a bike shop and check the boxes out first, mainly how they lock some are to easy to open by thieves, and when you are riding, the thing to look for is the catch, when looking at the one you have advertised it fits into a little slotted lip these do work but are not sturdy alot of people use a strap just to make sure wrapping it around the box and rack, just to make sure it does not open up whilst riding. | |

| Looks a nice bit of kit Paul, Do Givi do a plate for the M800 or a universal one that could be fitted to your rack? If they do, they have a quick release button built into the locking mechanism for easy removal from the bike, I've got Givi luggage on the Bandit and it's pretty good overall. | |

| yep that's the one same as mine plate it fits to is slightly different but the locking mechanism the same don't quote me on it but think it's a 55 litre box (big) you can also get the kit for them so your brake light (and indicator I think) on your bike comes on as well as the lights on your top box (look at middle pic you can see were the lights go) don't think anyone could miss that sorry car drivers (TWATS)what am I thinking car drivers will never see that hahahaha | |

| Mal, had seen them types but wanted to keep with black/silver only look. Plus, this top box boasts it is one of only a few which can hold 2 full face helmets and is a good 52 Litres. Morgan, your spot on mate! I have just been on my first camping adventure (a music festival called "rock the lakes" in Southport near Blackpool. Lessons learnt were I need more space as I had a mate as pillion + 3 man tent + sleeping bags + airbeds, not to mention all the unnecessary clothes I took! I'm just getting prepared for my next adventure! Festival fantastic by the way- but I thought it was a biker ralley, when I got there, there was only about a dozen bikes, the whole site was covered with cars! Still going next year as only 2 quid a pint & great music! | |
