Hello all, I've been lurking for a while whilst deciding if a cruiser is what I want and now I think I've decided I thought I'd better sign up!!
Most of my recent bikes have been off road biased, 3 BMW 1150gs, a tdm900, a versys 650, and most recent is a yam 660 tenere which I've just sold, the only cruiser I've had is a BMW R 1200 c and that was about 12 years ago! It was a really cool bike but bought when I was too young to really appreciate.
At the moment I'm riding my dads Kwak W800 and enjoying it but I really like the style and looks of a bobber and whilst researching I saw a vl bobber one for sale on eBay and started to look into the vl800 which in turn led me here.

I've been riding for about 25 years and ridden most things but recently I've enjoyed going slower or down little byways. maybe an off road styled bobber vl, maybe not!

Whilst I've been lurking I noticed how friendly the site is and hope to be able to join in with some conversations and give back a little.

I live in Camberley, Surrey so if there are any local boys we could maybe meet up when I finally buy a vl, I have a bag of money so should be sooner rather than later, I'll keep you posted.

Welcome to the forum guinnessgrim. I myself had a Honda Pan European until a few months ago & changed to a VL800 LO C800 Intruder. I never thought I'd ride such a bike but it is brilliant, fast enough for the country's speed limits & has enough legs to zoom you to the ton if you can hang on that long lol! I've fitted mine out for touring with bags, screen etc(see my listings) to do france & the UK next year. I think you'll really enjoy it & you could not want for a warmer reception from the motley crew here ok!
