| So being as this is my first bike (Marauder) and I'm an experienced auto mechanic (completely modded my Dodge intrepid.) The mod bug got me yet again.... just some mods I'm looking at doing and done.. Done K & N drop in filters Stage 2 jetting Cobra slip on pipes removed pair valve for Neked Juggies...... hehe Future (when weather gets nicer so my hands don't freeze) Ideas and info come from countless hours scouring the web... mainly MIGcruisers.com and spacerjim.com 1. Delete MMM module....useless thing and connections tend to corrode... 2. Install relay module to turn off low beam headlamp when start button is pressed (less load on battery). 3. Sprocket upgrade from 15/48 to 16/48 (Thanks Mr. Intruder for the tips) 4. Kickstand mod (again thanks Mr. Intruder for posting that one ) My 5 & 3 year old sons were running around the bike and bumped into it. Momentum cause the bike to go forward almost popping the stand... 5. Clutch springs from the stock 9 & 7 coil springs to Versah 8 coils all around. 6. Drag specialties Tachometer. Just cause I like to know how hard my engine's working lol.. And possibly a kuryakyn voltmeter... (used to carrying my multimeter around lol..) Oh almost forgot....got tired of other drivers not hearing the sissy horn that's OEM on the bike so today came across what I think was a good deal... picked up a set of FIAMM EL Grande twin horns for $25. Tested them out and they are louder then my cars horns. Min. Db Rating @ 4 inches

| Some good mods there, I have seen the MMM removal a few times on your model but never on newer ones, maybe Suzuki sorted it out later? Those horns look nice and would look nice mounted with one either side on the front of the frame, would be good and help get the attention of cars on either side | |

| that's what I was thinking... haven't decided if I'm going to leave it chrome backing or put the red cover on and paint it black... | |

| When you go to start the bike there is a little delay. the MMM module (Mitsubishi Mystery Module) is the cause of this. It's located right by the Starter Relay and on a diagram it's listed as "Starter Control Relay". It's wired between the Clutch Lever Position Sensor and the Starter Relay. Only purpose it serves is to cause you to pull your hair out when your trying to figure why the clutch sensor that you just replaced isn't working...
To remove it just cut wires at module and join the wire coming from CPS to the Starter Relay (Y/G-Y/B) on mine. Google search will pull lots of results with better explanations.... Pretty sure I read somewhere that in newer models it was deleted.. | |

| It was a module that was directly behind the starter relay on 1997 - 2002 models and was often the cause of slow cranking. Easily fixed by removing the box & either directly connecting two wires or running a loop wire to connect then. After 2002 there were no more reported problems but even with earlier ones, it was not an over common problem, just an occasionally known problem. | |

| So after doing the MMM module delete and Headlamp shut off relay yesterday.. I decided to install the new horns... and man what a blast! (pun intended), Got to use them today and man that driver was not expecting them! Got them mounted to the sides of my bike I'll post some pics in the next couple days. | |

| That's great that you have got so busy with your bike. The MMM module is a ridiculous bit of kit, can't work that one out, glad they woke up stopped fitting them. | |

| I know... when comparing wiring schematics of 97-02 vs 03+ VZ800's, I find that Suzuki made it more direct and efficient.. | |
