I am looking to Bob my bike but not as severe as some i have seen i want a rack behind the seat for rally gear .
But that is all on paper my main problem and the one thing that bugs the sweet bajeezus out of me is the pipes on my 99 are the 96>98 set up the under rather than round the block look ,is there anyway of swapping to the later look so i can have some aftermarket pipes on .. As the early pipes i have found you can get stock but after market wide slash pipes are impossible to find.Do i get some customs made or is there a age old trick of swapping to the 99>06 set up ?

The 99-06 front pipes will fit your bike. It's a simple "bolt off, bolt on" job.

thought the 99> pipes would not fit as the 96>99 fuel lines go just above where the pipes go on the later model .Wish i knew they were a bolt on as i have been looking everywhere for wider pipes for a better sound and to drop some weight I will look into some later pipes and just change the down pipe ..

Ok after a short look online i cant find the header pipe i need to change anywhere for less than silly money .Is there anyone out there that knows of a pipe maker to make some 2 1/2 inch slash pipes with headers ,I will be wrapping the pipes so they can be mild steel .Just trying to find a cheaper way to mod the pipes got about £300 quid but even 2nd hand are more .would spend more but i will need jetting after and i am on a limited budget

You would be surprised at what the small exhaust fitter or engineering shop can do for reasonable cash.
