Hello from Brum

Hi,
I'm Phil from Birmingham. Just got my hands on my second VS, moving from a 700 to the 800. Bit of a strange story in as much as I didn't get my licence until 4 months ago (at the age of 59!!). Bought the 700 after it had been off the road for 9 years and got it up to being taxed and mot'd. First decent run out (RTTW) the electrics forward of the seat decide to give up and I'm left with no lights up front or fan.      So long story short decided to cut my losses and bought the 800 as a replacement. Love the old school looks of the VS (probably something to do with the 70's vibe  :bike4: ). So that's me - glad to meet you all.

59 wow better late than never, riding is fun at any age. I to love the old school look & plan on buying an older Suzuki just as a project. Pleased you have ridden RTTW in your first few months, going on mass rides gets addictive. Anyway enjoy the bike & the site.

Biker back in the early 70's when you didn't need things like licences LOL!! Marriage and mortgage came along so off two wheels for a long time. Got back on two wheels with a Lambretta or several (closet Mod   ) before getting the need again for a proper bike and doing my DAS.

Hello Phil you've a similar story to me.
Did DAS 6 years ago when I first retired at 58.
Had various bike since before coming to the VL.
Bikes have brought me lots of fun and friends since and I'm sure it will be same for you.
