VZ 800 Clutch Cable Empty
PostSubject: VZ 800 Clutch Cable   VZ 800 Clutch Cable Icon_minitimeWed Jan 15, 2014 12:23 pm

I've changed the handlebar on my bike and that 90 degree bend on the clutch cable is a real pain in the ****. The cable won't sit as I want it to.

Question is, does any one know if there is a cable from another bike, without that 90 degree bend, that will fit my bike?

Not sure how different your bike is to mine in this area but I would have thought not to different in this respect.
When I fitted my 14" ape hanger bars, the clutch cable was the one cable that I did not have to change. I simply re-routed it. Have a look at my link below and see if it gives you any idea for doing similar on your model. I had to spin the bent section of the far end of the cable to allow this but that takes seconds.

Cool bike, looks great.

Rerouting is not an option. Problem is the new handlebar is wider and forwarded quite a bit. The cable goes under the toptree, through the frame and down behind the watercooler. That gives it a weird "bend" below the toptree because my cable got a 90 degree bend where it exits the grip which makes it point forward. A cable like Yours might solve my problem.
