| After wrangling with the decision for a few months I decided to refit my Jardin pipes today. I prefer the look of the stock system as the Jardines are smaller / shorter but prefer the sound of the non-stock system.
I'll post some video so you guys can have a listen when I get chance. I don't know if these exhausts have baffles or not, they seemed really loud / deep for a "baffled up " system and as they came on the bike when I bought it I've no way to tell.
Cheers ... Mick
PS - any meets going on up here, Northern members ? If not anyone fancy planning one ?

| Well I will be ceartainly interested to see that, the Jardines are a straight through I believe but could be wrong! Mick if you much prefer the look of the stock exhaust but are not happy with the sound then why not sell the Jardines and do a modification on the stock exhaust to change the tone and noise level of it. There should be numerous threads in this section that you could read up on. | |

| Yeah I reckon that sounds like a good plan if you prefer the stock look but would like a bit more rumble.
Start with the 10-15mm holes in the stock baffles and progress upwards till you get the sound you want or go for the full debaffle & maybe even end up with the micky-mod

| Sound wise I think I still prefer the fully modified stock as it is deeper than most aftermarkets but...once you have wrecked your stockers, if you don't like it...hmmm. They will always look a bit home made too. A thoroughbred aftermarket will usually have the edge and you can always go back to stock if you really don't like them. Being too loud is a problem - there are some guys I know with pipes that are just silly loud. You should be able to get baffles to fit most pipes even if you have to drill side holes and adapt them yourself. | |

| Guys, thanks for your tips .... I know about the modifications to the stock system but have resisted butchering that system as : a) if I want more noise then the Jardines fulfill that b) I don't want to ruin the stock system coz when I do sell the bike I can either use it as a selling point and include it in the sale or sell the system seperately The Jardines are a straight through system but have a deep rumbly sound with them ... I only took them off as they get a bit droney on long runs but I've started to wear earplugs when I use my open face helmet and that dulls the noise to me but not to the outside world so now I have the best of both worlds . As for the looks, i can live with the non stock system and it does make cleaning the back end of the bike easier as they're shorter. They're also much lighter too which can only be a positive, though not as crucial as it would be on a sports bike Thanks for your comments though Mick | |

| Hi, I'm new here. In response to the jardine pipes I've got them fitted to my m800. I have a video posted on you tube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f35bb0TuDjU the baffles are still fitted on the video | |

| Smart, yours sound like they've had some kind of mod done to them I'm sure but I still reckon they're a Jap / American system as opposed to a European one due to the wording on them. We'll have a natter about it at the NEC next week bud eh ?
Freemo .... you say on your post that the baffles are still fitted to the system on the video. Did the baffles come with the system then ? My system was fitted to the bike when I bought it and has never had baffles in ... well at least I can't see any sign of them, all I can see when I look down the end of the "silencers" is just some staggered rifling pattern down the inside.
Cheers .... Mick | |

| I assume they were already fitted. The ones I have are listed as jardine rumblers. I bought them from custom cruisers uk so for more detail speak to Mick there | |

| Freemo, I watched that vid about a year ago when I was doing research on what bike to buy, and your video was one of the things that made me choose the m800 | |
