Sounds very good to me Clive, I know videos don't always do the sound justice but that does sound good. Far much better than the stockers with there purring

I think you need a descent set of speakers for you computer or they need a beater microphone , no disrespect to Clives cause they sound good but the sound of a rodded stock pipe is not in the same league as V&H or most other aftermarket pipes. Sorry just my opinion BUT I spose it all depends on who is listening and what they like
I'd like to think that aftermarket pipes costing several hundred quid sounded good but considering that Clive's mod cost very little, I think they sound great. My old Intruder was sold with the stock pipes back on, nearly gutted but back plate re-fitted. Sounded nice, I must admit. The aftermarket journey is one a man often ends up taking but the stages leading up to it are still lots of fun.
Nice to hear you got where you wanted to be clive ... but without the expense of new pipes (Well I know it was a painful process) - but it seems you have things sorted now. Cheers Yam

The pipe mod you have done has given a good sound at zero cost, that leaves cash in the pocket for more important things. I like the sound of them a lot, good job done.
I agree, Micks got one of the sweetest sounding 800's out there so that's a compliment indeed!

Hi guys. This is a great post thanks to everyone for the advise I have just finished doing my bike this morning rodded then drilled just 4 holes in each exhaust end. Sounds great and good enough for me. Saved me a fortune
to be honest my bike has cobra pipes on it when I got it and does sound great .the fact I can remove rear axle without touching exhaust is a bonus but as for sound clives sounds great well worth doing
