VZ800 Mid controls

Has anyone seen it. Ive been researching and looking for about 8 months. I guess Im gonna use mine as a guinea pig.

 I cant stand forwards. I don't mind the stock VZ "Forward" controls, they are at a good position where you can lift yourself up over bumps, potholes etc.

 I would like to start them this winter, I think it will work out nice. 

 I want to go with a high mid control. Im thinking about coming from the bottom frame and up, almost level with the clutch cover halfway up.

 Brake linkage will be no problem, the shifter however I think is gonna take some serious fabrication

Would looking at the controls on a VX800 be a useful starting point ? (As it is more of a conventional roadster type bike. Just has a long rod to move the gearshift towards the rear).

Ya similar, Really all you have to do on the VZ is shorten the shift rod. The hard part is gonna be fabricating it so I can mount the mids high
