| My left rear indicator has suddenly stopped working. No flashing or Constant light just nothing. I've removed the bulb and tried it on the other side, works fine. So its not the bulb thats for sure. Any suggestions? I wouldn't have thought its a fuse, I cant see each corner light having a fuse each. Anyone experienced this before? Thanks | |

| Does the front one come on, if so is it on constant? That means the switch is working and the circuit from the flasher relay is working. More than likely its a loose wire, trace the wires from the indicator to where it joins the loom, it will more than likely be connected with push together bullet connectors, make sure they are clean and making contact. Have you got a multimeter, if so check the voltages across the above connections. | |

| the front one comes on and flashes fine. the dashboard light flashes faster then normal.
So I thought with the bulbs working else where its gotta be an issue with power getting to the socket? | |

| Its either the indicator fitting itself or a loose/broken wire, I am not familiar with the VZ so I am not sure where all the connections are etc. Your going to have to roll your sleeves up and do some investigation, one bit at a time. Odds on that its a loose/broken wire, you have just got to find it!! | |

| Check inside the bulb holder for corrosion first, could just need a clean. If not that take the chrome rail off the back mudguard and you will find some connectors in there. Two of them are for the indicator. Check that they are not loose or corroded, also trace the wire through and under the mudgaurd and check that they are not chafed or broken. If no visible sign of damage connect them to a 12v supply and see if the bulb lights. If it does then the problem is most likely in the cables between the connectors and the relay that sits behind the right hand side panel. | |

| The VZ 800's are bad about the wires rubbing through under the fender. My bet would be that this is the problem. Good luck! | |
