VX800 White Wheels - Corrosion/Pitting

Morning - I'm hoping to purchase a blue VX800 with, I presume, white wheels. (Pictures pending.) There is pitting on the instrument bezel so I'm assuming the wheels will be similar. Would a simple wire wool session cure this on the wheels or would the white surface be damaged? In other words, can the wheels be elbow-greased back to loveliness or will they need pukka refurbishment?

I've never seen a VX with 'white' wheels Chris, I thought they were all Silver as standard?

Ah... I just went over the pics I have and, yes, silver it is. Not white. They do look white though, honest... VX800 White Wheels - Corrosion/Pitting 2516569736
