| Hi everyone, well I've bitten the bullet and ordered highway hawk shortcuts for my trike. Ordered them from metric cruisers today so should be here beginning next week, and thanks to captain crash who reminded me of our 10% discount I got them for £286 instead of £317 so thank you! Having trouble finding somewhere that stocks the exhaust gasket for vl800 has anybody any ideas where in can get them? Have searched online but nowhere seems to have them. Is there a universal gasket I can use? Anyway, thanks everyone. Bill | |

| I just used the old ones on mine and it fitted fine - are you sure your originals are no good? | |

| Hi bluesman, was it your video on you tube? I listened to this time and time again, but it was the sound you had that finally convinced me! I've not taken my old exhausts off yet so don't know the state of the old gaskets, just wanted new ones on hand if they were crap when I took old ones off. Must say I have no intention of making things difficult for myself and taking things off that don't need it. Do you think some kind of copper paste/ grease would be a good standby? Cheers. | |

| When I took my header pipes off, the gaskets looked really solid not like some crush ones you get. The guy at Metric Cruisers said not to worry about gaskets as the ones in there should be fine. My stocks had been on only about 10 months. Not sure about extra sealant - I would put them on as they are and see if there is any gas escaping - they are quite easy to take off again if necessary, being so short. Yes it was my video - actually sounds different from the back than it does when you are riding it. You should turn quite a few heads - hope you can post a video when yours are on! | |
