I can't keep up with this massive influx of new members .... so once again big group hello and welcome !!

There another chapter in my quest to become the forum's official lazy bugger !!

I could but I think it would probably annoy members receiving unwanted emails on top of all the spam we already get.
The main reason that I put the welcome section is at the top of the forum is simply because the red dot in the left box is shown as soon as a member enters the site indicating new posts and they would have to scroll past it to get to the main forum posts.

I think that the first impressions are so very often important and when members make an effort it encourages newbies to start to post because as you say DD its nice to have a warm welcome. I do think at times that it is a shame that a few of the more dominant members at times do seem to give the area a miss but each to their own
