New old guy

I'm currently experiencing an old age (58) crisis (I had my mid life one some years ago) and thus have bought a 2006 VZ800 with an obnoxiously loud exhaust which I'll deal with in it's own thread. It's been bobbed and covers the backside nicely in whatever the tyres throw up. The ride home on it was wet and my waterproof pants revealed their shortcomings. The mirrors are without a doubt the best I've ever had on a bike which is probably more down to the type of bike than the mirrors. Previous bikes have included a 500 Elsie and a 900 Ninja so seeing behind me is a bit of a revelation.
