| Looking good & much nicer with the cowl fitted, very sleek looking. Are your foot boards on the wrong sides? Looks back to front to me. Lovely looking machine all the same | |

| They are in the shape of feet if you look at them, would be easy to swap over if they are. | |

| I have been looking at the footboards. The heel is the main area as the toe is just a rest. The front wheel needs to clear the footboard - hence the cutout. The C800 has a different shape/ position but I wonder, maybe these are right for the M. Turning them round would alter the position, as the bracket is not central. I would like to think the mechanic got it right but that does not always follow suit!! I look forward to the solution to this puzzle! | |

| Nice looking ride Funny how we always want what we ain't got you have the M and wanted footboards, I have the C and want pegs. No puzzle on the foot plates, they are on the wrong sides. They are foot shaped, so unless your a stuntman and ride backwards they are facing the wrong way. There is more foot plate under the brake than before it. 10 minutes with a socket and all will be good | |

| Paul do not go back for a service,(unless they do it for nothing as an apoligy)they are definatley the wrong way round, you are supposed to be able to be able to rest your full foot before applying the brake or using the gears,go back and ask to to see the manager, get some goodies for your bad experience.Use these photos and tell him you will seek professional advise for the wrong fitting of these parts.Your bike looks well all the same, that seat cowl really sets it off. | |

| Cheers for all the nice comments & advice. (particularly if they are on the wrong way) Going to have a look now i think to see if handed. What you may not be to see by the pic is the "slope" at the rear what majority of my heal/foot comfortably rests on- this would be tailoring away from my toes with no contact if reversed?
It'll come to light soon!

| Thats very reason that I service and do all mechanical work on all my vehicles, without exception. I will not allow some no nothing kid that has been trained by older no nothings to work on anything that my life depends on. The only time my bikes ever go near a garage or dealership is for the first service from new & thats only because the from new warrantee dictates that the first service is done by a recognised dealership but even then I take them home and double check everything. If they cant put the foot boards on properly, for fucks sake don't ever let them do anything mechanical on it. | |

| Think I'll just swop them myself- Well capable, I just wrongly assumed and put trust in the shop I bought it from.
I supposed thats why my gear lever fell of when I was sitting on it in my garage with 0 miles on the clock. (I found a bolt loose holding the lever onto the spindle)

Trouble is if you know less than the 'know nothings' you need to trust a mechanic for service. Not all are poor. It's like all professions - some are better than others. It would be unfair to label all mechanics as rubbish. I know some locally who are good and 2 who are brilliant. I agree avoid the bad ones. I try to go where I know who is doing the work. I agree the warranty thing means sometime you trust your bike to someone you don't know. So far I have found my bikes have been serviced ok. The larger dealers with anonymous young men in blue overalls may pose a problem. Any other members found a good mechanic? Or are they all rubbish?

I didn't label them all as rubbish & I am not prepared to find out which is which at my cost. When I was younger I had no choice other than do the work myself with hours & hours with my face stuck into a Haynes manual, if I didn't it would not have got done as I could not afford to put anything I had in to a garage for the first 20 year of my adult life.

| Just swapped tonight and have not been out yet- However, they have the facility to tilt angle (which i didn't know), so immediately felt better whilst sitting on in stationary position. Happy days. | |

| My Intruder again- but this time in Rothbury (yesterday - our summer) with a mate that done an artist impression effect from the photo- how clever!. Note the corrected forward facing footboard improvement | |

| Got pegs on at the minute, but that's only because I like to change every so often. The bike looks completely different now with sports windshield, panniers and back box added. I do miss the way it looked in that pic, but geared up to be more practical at the minute, until I change my mind! | |
