Saddlemen Profiler on Suzuki Intruder C800 / VL800

My brand new saddlemen Profiler came today courtesy of an extraordinarily good deal offered & done between Jason "JasMK" & myself.

If ever you have sat on your bike without a seat on, that's almost what this feels like, very very low. The profiler really does make you feel so much more like you are part of the bike, you feel more connected some how. Rather than being sat on top of the bike you do actually feel like you are sat in it becoming an extension of it. The seat is very well shaped and actually offers a lot more back support than I thought it would & I was a little concearned that I would really miss my rider back rest but I don't believe I will. It is also slightly wider at the hip, which is nice and I believe will enhance comfort.

I am currently in the middle of a few jobs on the bike so I had to quickly pop the tank back on to show you the seat. So the seat isn't actually fitted down tight at the moment but anyway, here are a few pictures.

That looks to be the DOGS BOLLOCKS Dave. That top pic makes you realise how seriously that makes the rider disapear into the bike, love it

That looks ABSOLUTELY AWFUL !!! But seeing as your a good fellow, I'll take it off your hands for the same as you paid On a more serious note, It looks really good and really suits your bike I bet your made up with it

looks realy nice that gives it such a different look really siuts the shape of the bike

Thanks guys & yep I is well made up with it, I have wanted an aftermarket seat since I bought the bike. Compared to the stock seat it is amazing & flows so well, much nicer than 2 seats. With the stock seat I felt like it was shaped wrong and didn't want you to use all of it due to bad shaping, it actually encouraged you more forward. With most of the aftermarket seats this has been addressed and you can plainly see that with the Profiler it encourages you further back and down in to it. Much better & because your lower it makes you feel a little more of a bad biker.

Glad you like it Dave. I was just looking at it and I reckon if you took the sissy bar and rack off of it, it would look like a bobber due to how it is shaped.

just looked at the pics again dont know why but i think that foot pegs would look better and the black bits youv done do look cool and make your bike just that bit more your own cant wait to see what she'l look like in the future as you keep doing bits and bobs to her

Excellant looking saddle Dave,when you get a chance can you photogragh the underneath,it would make a good project to try and make,notice I use the word (try).It really suits the bike.

Glad you're so pleased with it - I love mine too, feels so much better when you first get on (or in!). I think it looks perfect for the bike and I really hated the look of the original saddle, didn't even fit very well with gaps at each side.

So you're happy with the seat and I'm happy it's not sitting in my garage going to waste. Now for anyone else that wants one - tough, there's no way I'm luggin another one all the way back! However Amazon has some good deals and shipping isn't too bad - just watch out for the duty and VAT...

But Dave got the best deal I'm afraid...

Jason if you get a chance pop a picture up of your M800 with the profiler on mate, would be good to see

looking at them both now I see there is actually differences in the design not just the fit, seems they have adapted the style to suit each bike...

great seet jason agree with you take a better pic when you can but much preafer what youv put on than stock

Love it, the profiler is a real beauty of a seat on bothe the C & M models, it dramatically changes the the lines of the bike.

I really like that look a lot, the difference in the back of the seat really goes well with the fishtail

Those are very nice seat! They look verry comfy. Also the tribal accents on Mr Intruders bike.

I got a Profiler and it's shocking how good it feels. The back support is awesome. I admit I have not ridden the bike (snow and salt)since I got it.

Nice one Sim, you will love it. Seems to get even better after a short while when the seats works out where your arse is. Not sure Jo will be as happy as you though, not a lot of seat there for the passenger. Really pleased with mine, I love the lower riding position, you feel more connected some how.

I've been for a spin on it this morning and it was very comfy Firm but comfy, I know what you mean about the passenger part I'll get Jo some gel inserts for her arse if she complains It follows the lines of the bike better too I think.

Dave I just read in the VS1400 drive shaft mod thread that you have been for a 3 hour / 207 mile trip on your bike today, Sooooooooo my question is, how did you find the profiler seat in comparrison to your previously modded stock seat? Have you got baboon arse after that trip or is all OK in the buttox department

I'm actually been planning on picking one of these up for my Marauder.

Oh you boys dont know just how great that looks! Saw it in the flesh tonight, when I bobbed over to Sim's to borrow something [no not one of his other 2 bikes ]

Even better than in the piccies. Didnt realise Sim had only just got it.... if that had been me, I'd still have been jumping up & down with excitiement!

My buttox are fine thanks Crash, Baboon arse is not being suffered here thankfully. The seat is nicely shaped so the trip was a dream, I did stop twice at customers in both London and Oxford so the cheeks go a breather. Very pleased with it.

200 miles? That's it? Oh you Brits/Europeans. 200 miles is a short cruise. We'd shoot up to Chicago (207 miles away) and back in a day just for fun. Hell, my brother and I would cruise down to St. Louis (100 miles away) just to get a sandwich at Joe Fozzie's for lunch.

Thats so true Marcin, if we had better weather we would pack in more miles.

I agree with Sim, there are no prizes for distance travelled. I can get just as much enjoyment at times plodding around town knowing that everyone is looking at the cool bike. If I stop somewhere I usually end up chatting to someone who just wants to chat bike and they are very often non bikers. The saddlemen profiler is a great seat but that don't mean my arse can only enjoy sitting in it over long distance trips.

I'm only teasing you guys. I'll take whatever time I can get on the bike. Even if it's a 1/2 mile round trip to the bank to deposit a check.

We are fortunate in America though, in terms of biking. Summers tend to be days on end of warm sunny weather with long stretches of open highways and tons of scenic back roads. We have a great route the runs along the Mississippi river and riding along the coasts, especially the California coast, is amazing.
