| Love apes - got me thinking about pushing up the stock bars. Wanted to go forward with bars as well as up (as with risers) as I get 'numb bum' after about 30 miles (I'm 6'). Here's what stock bars look like with punch mark to line up with bracket - you loosen the top bolts to rotate the bars: Here is my bike after the 'mod' I had to adjust the clutch lever, mirror and brake lever positions as well. Took a while to get used to - bike handles differently - a bit more agressive with faster steering. Leans you forward - rode 50 miles yesterday without numb bum. It's probably not as easy to ride at first but has grown on me a lot. More suited to the taller rider. Not advised for novices. | |

| I think you have done something I have done. I rotated the bars so that from a side angle they look straight / in line so to speak with the forks as I thought it looked better from the side angle | |

Yes I thought I probably wasn't the first to alter the angle. Looks nicer and rides better IMHO but these things are so subjective of course. I'd quite like high bars but wouldn't want the bother of changing cables so this will do at the moment! | |

| I went the opposite way on my M800, trying to make it more comfortable for the wife. She still wasn't comfortable, but I am, so I kept it that way. I just moved the marker about 1.5mm back toward the tank, and it's very comfortable. | |

| I also did mine as I wanted a higher bar. And I thought it was a bit better looking from the side when I put my screen on if the forks, screen and bars were all in alignment. | |
