| So yeasterday I decided to paint some of the chrome pieces and the neck guards gloss black. I still need to color sand the pieces as there's quite a bit of orange peel on the parts. But once I hit them with 1500 and 2000 grit wet they should come out smooth as glass. After: Before: | |

Thanks, I agree. Just way too much chrome stock. I'm going to have the headlight bucket powder coated gloss black too but leave the front trim part chrome like I did on the speedo. Wrapping the top half of the pipes in black fiberglass wrap. Powder coating the wheels, the chain guard, and the triple trees gloss black as well.

Cool, I like wrapped pipes. Dunno if its your sort of thing but I bought some 'magmawrap' for my short pipes. Made here in the UK. Its a carbon-gold finish, so it looks black most of the time but shimmers gold in the light, very cool looking. I had a look for the eBay link but can't seem to find it at the moment sorry

| I agree Jambo, I will slowly loose more chrome from my bike. I did a few bits over the winter and will do a few more over the summer, even then the bike will have more chrome than you could shake a stick at. | |

| I can appreciate that. I will be going the opposite way...adding more. That + new, much brighter paint job will make it stand out like crazy. Then...I will look into somehow wearing it on a chain Jambo | |

| I like the look of your bike mate, especially the tank paint, headlight and foot controls; a real good look.
