| They are simple to install. The left grip just needs to be sliced down the middle and peeled off with the new one stuck back in its place. The throttle side is also simple, There are 2 or 3 screws in total that keep the throttle side switch casing in place. Undo these and the throttle assembly will be ready to slide off as soon as you have removed the cables. The cables just need some slack given to them by adjusting cables at the throttle end and then the cables will release and the throttle assembly will slide off. Revers the procedure and your good to go. When you do it for the first time you will be surprised at how easy it is to do. | |

| Hi Arron,
I've just gone thru the process of putting hot grips on, so here's what you do
Remove the bar end weights. Just loosen these and draw out of the bar when loose enough.
Then you can use a long blunt rounded flexable table knife that grandma used to have and slip it up under the grip rubber(s) from the bar and throttle ends without damaging the rubbers. Best knife to use is one with a long regular (Not serrated) slightly flexable blade. It will peel the rubbers off the glue on the left side and slightly stretch it as you push with an even push and maybe a slight wriggle, up to the controls, then slide the knife around the bar. Pull the grip rubber back over itself and it will roll off or a wee squirt of dish wash water with detergent betwen the knife and bar also helps them slide right off.
Put the original grips and bar end weights away for sale or reuse later on.
