Custom screen fitted spot light brackets .......... 2001 Suzuki VL800

Some of you have shown interest in how my front spots are fixed, the usual way is to use a front light bar but the previous owner came up with a cheaper alternative, he used two L shaped brackets which are attached to the rear of the screen.





Hope that becomes clear as to the cheap alternative mounts.

Fair play for giving the previous owner credit for the brackets, I would have stolen the credit for that  
Its an excellent way of mounting the lights and does away with the need for expensive light bars and brackets. Very clean and tidy as well. Never seen them mounted like that before but I have a feeling we will now

Here you go. Here is the finished job with the spotlights fitted to the new carriers. I like them. Just got to wire them up when I find out the best way.

Brilliant..but I reckon that's going to wobble like hell (?)

If they did by simply elongating the light fixing hole and having the rear of the light touching the screen would probably stop that or put a thin rubber strip between the screen and bracket, there are other easy fixes to that sort of problem as well if it arises as well that are loads better than buying a lightbar and fixing that

Took Black Beauty out today with the new spots on to check for steadines and to my surprise there was very little wobble on them at all.
