| Might be going daft here....which is quite posible. But im sure i've seen some where a bike that had Crash bars at the rear in front of the saddle bags. Have i seen these? If so where can i get some? | |

| No you have not seen them here & I have never seen them anywhere. Not to say that nobody has them somewhere. They would not be to difficult to make for someone with the right skills and tools & the crash bars would then need to be sent off for chroming or possibly sprayed if that was personally required. I would possibly buy some rear crash bars if they were sold but have never seen them as an aftermarket product for the Intruder range. The rear crash bars used to be a generally common add on in the 70's & early 80's but sadly those days have gone. | |

| Very very interested in these indeed, Good on you & well done for finding them. I think looking at the bolt holes I have an idea of how they are fitted, I would however need to check my bike before I was 100% certain. Can't work out in my head how they would look but am so curios that I nearly hit the add to cart button just to see. | |

| Bloody hell Crash, I can't get in my workshop at the moment but from memory I think it is like this: The bar that can be seen in the picture below that is standing up, I think is the left one. I would say the the end with one hole seen in it would have to be bolted on through the chrome mudguard brace & the end with two holes in it would attach using the two bolts that hold the rear passenger foot peg body in position. So the passengers leg would just go in front of it. | |

| Just had a good look at the site and they seem quite good. Found a rad cover to match my sissy bar. Its for 05-09, not sure if that would fit mine though. If it does im getting one and the crash bar. Chrissy pressy to my self, plus ive got a spare quilt for the couch...he he ooohh just seen the light ramp as well, buger might need a tent to go with quilt i think. oh well

| The Rad cover will fit for a fact & I can see no reason why the crash bars won't fit because of how they are mounted. Worth double checking with the guards though. | |

| Going to give the company a bell tomorrow and see if they will indeed fit my bike. If so "Watch this space" Then might give Jon a ring at metric and see if he will stock them, so if anyone else is interested, you can get your 10% discount. Might tell him about the K02's as well if there is enough interest | |

| Well £247 lighter in pocket and that's the rear crash guards and Suzuki rad cover ordered. Dosnt look like ill get them till the new year though. Although they did say they would air freight them to me at there expense to get here quicker. Little bit concerned as the company is based in the Cheq Republic and havnt been able to find a review on them. But hay fingers crossed. | |

| The ones from Metric don't fit anything after 2009 as I asked if they would fit my 2010 C800 & got the answer that the position of the footrests or such were different so I'll wait till they come round in the right shape to fit.

| That's strange? when I repaired Twojobmicks 2003 rear foot peg hanger, it was exactly the same as my 2009 peg hanger, I used mine as a template for cutting the steel to shape. | |

| Just been researching changes on microfiche made by Suzuki to different years of this model and I can see no difference between the 2009 & 2010 as mentioned or beyond. Very strange? | |

| Just looked again and the frame numbers are the same from a different source, meaning there are no differences from 2009 - 2013 as the part number would show this. The 2009 & onwards frame is also sold for pre 2009 bikes as a possible/recommended replacement where & when needed. So I would think what we have there is a sales person that is pretending to know more than they actually do, making up the truth for the sole purpose of self gratification & the need to fill a broader shouldered shirt than they physically can. | |

| Company that I'm getting my bars from says that they will 100% fit.2009 onwards. Will just have to wait and see. If they do fit, could mean metric are doing them self out of custom. | |

| I can't see why they wouldn't fit throughout the vl model range? same engine, frame, suspension, All Suzuki have changed over the years is the fuelling and cosmetics,ie. Fenders,Clocks,Switches and visual things, but all on the same chassis and running gear. | |

| All the frames etc I suspected were the same as Dave says so I too was amazed when told they would not fit. I'll try to find the letter i recieved & see who signed it off etc so you all know who, where etc ok? If I am wrong then I apologise now & will do again if I was reading it wrong.

| On 13/12/13 Jon Chant from Metriccruisers stated that the rear crash bars would not fit the 2010 on VL800's as the exhausts were higher than on previous years. I said it was the footrests but was mistaken & apologise. If anyone wants to contact Jon I think he'll say exactly what I just stated. So if you have aftermarket silencers you'll probably be ok but not standard one's according to Jon Chant. | |

| How strange cause one thing I do know is that Jon is very up to date on info usually, I had massive doubts before you mentioned his name.
Dave (Mr Intruder) or anyone in the know, I know you have already checked the frame and there is no difference, can you do a check on the exhausts as well please to see at what year they may have changed in minor design on the stock ones if you dont already know, just to help clarify this information cause like already said jon is usually very well informed?

| Just checked my 3 micro fiches, I can see no change to any of the 18 parts that are used making up the entire exhaust. Not just between the 2009/2010 but for any of the years. I love a puzzle. | |

| Woooooooooo Hoooooooooo At long last, the posty tipped up from The Cheq Republic, with theses bad boys. There was more bubble wrap and shrink wrap on them, than i dont know what. Well impressed with the P&P. The company even refunded my P&P because i had to wait so long..Hats of to them. Now to make the buggers fit. | |

I was a bit concerned at first, not being able to find out much about them, but they came true.
Was a bit disappointed with the rad cover though. I thought it was a replacement, not one that you put over the original plastic cover. My fault for not researching it a bit better. Still looks good fitted.

| Aaron I thought that was the idea to fit over the existing rad cover but possibly I'm not looking at it right either? As for the bar fitting I personally would have put mine up against the frame chrome trims with washers or a thin spacer then the sissybar etc & not the way you've done it as you have not got a lot of bracing from the pannier bar fitting mate. | |
