Siren & Lights for Cop Bike .................... Suzuki 2001 VL800

As some of you know I am in the process of giving my black and white Volusia an American Cop Bike make over, so I have just ordered one of these,
Jump to about 2:05 in the vid to check it hooked up to a 12v supply. !!!



Fitted a new two way switch for the red and blue flashing lights ready to wire up when I get a wig wag unit, on top of the new switch is also a horn button which the siren will be hooked up to.

Good idea Jim  Can't wait to see it with the lights flashing and siren going 

Well the siren turned up today so powered it up to see how it goes.........small problem is that the impeller is made of plastic so it fires up quick and spools down quick due to no weight so I am in the process of adding some big heavy washers on the back of the impeller so it will take longer to stop spinning when spooling down thus prolonging the siren noise.
I will let you know when the mod is complete.

That's a good idea to add some weight to it to slow down the sirens reduction, I wouldn't of thought of that but just cussed instead. 

In theory it should act like a heavy fly wheel but I wont know until its back together later, I'll keep you posted.

Siren No.2 turned up today, got to say its bigger and beefier than the first and sounds ten times more authentic than the first.
