| Hi all I may sound a bit on the simple side but how and where di I check and then fill coolant as just got back from a short trip out and Black Beauty got really hot making her stall and cough and splutter. Any help would be appreciated .... | |

| Its checked by removing the rear Chromed case that sits below the plastic case below the seat on the left side of the bike with a lock in it. Keep the motorcycle upright, Check the engine coolant level by observing the full and lower lines on the engine coolant reservoir. If the level is below the lower line, add engine coolant to the full line from the engine coolant reservoir filler. Easy when you have found it the first time | |

| Level was only down slightly in between the two marks. Going to give her a service next week as the air filter looks a bit dirty | |

| Just a thought Paul, check the cooling fan is working ... These bikes shouldn't really overheat, especially if the coolant level is OK.
Maybe it needs changing, often something that gets overlooked especially of people do their own servicing. Changed mine end of last year and it does seem to run a little cooler after it ( i.e - fan doesn't cut in as often as it used to ) | |
