Subject: New Light Bar for C800 K7 Sun Dec 14, 2014 5:27 pm
I want to install a Light Bar on my C800 K7
I find this one on Internet, but I'm not sure that the measurements for the C800 K7 are correct, the seller says that this bar fot most VL800, C50 & C800
I'm interested because the bar is cheap and I don't want to spend so much money in this modification

Looks like it would fit, have you measured up for the distance between the holes?

No, I can't
I don't have access to the bike until a few time because is saved in a parking for the winter... not at home yet!
I think most C800s have the shame distance between holes, but I don't know which is that at the time
In another hand the seller has another bar that fits most Suzukis, not only C800, but this one is in Chrome

That's great! But I want to be sure before place the order
I preffer the black bar because I want to install these LED lights in it (I ordered the lights yet: 30W and 1200 Lm each one so no need a relay)... very cheap too!

I'll take some measurements from my bike when I get a minute, Have you thought of doing this mod instead of a Light Bar? Just a thought if you don't want to spend much money. https://www.suzuki800.com/t1377-spot-light-bar-mod-on-c800

I like it! It's fine! But mine is cheapest... all project less than 50€ (less than 50 Pounds) With Waterproof Fuse Holder 10A and 10A Handlebar Switch (with a waterproof connector inteast that white one)... all connected to the Headlight
I think this Rocks!! (But NOT E-Marked... For Off-Road use only)

That is wise, the seller can say anything to secure a sale, then if it doesn't fit our is unsuitable for whatever reason you could be stuck with it, especially with a private sale.

LOL! Not private seller... Online Shop
The problem is that is more expensive the return cost than the price of the bar

thanks Israel, Pete I prefer the indicators with shorter stems/stalks that are closer to the bike wouldn't actually mind if the actual indicator lens size was slightly bigger I like people to see what I'm doing where/when I'm turning but as long as there bright I'm not to fussed these are a definite maybe lol so far I think I have about 5, 6 different indicators I'm looking at just have to narrow it down and pick one lol not my strong point lmao

Take a look at these ones They are not led, are incandescent bulb, so no need resistors or relay for installation, just plug and play
They are around 20 GBP, but not E-Marked, not DOT approved, for Off-Road use

For incandescent bulbs you need a different wiring diagram. You need a Relay connected to the battery, the Headlight Aux Connector only supports 10A

Also available the Tail Light Bulb on
I read on a forum that someone place it and he got a great different when press the brake, so I searched on internet and find 2 models: 36 Leds and 60 Leds SMD
The difference is in the size, maybe the 60 Leds SMD is too big but they are less than 2GBP each one so I ordered the two versions and will try when arrives

Thanks. I may change them out for LED. I am still going to use relay since I already have it. Might use the circuit for other uses. ( - LINKY - )

I always research everything and I was about to order some headlight bulbs but currently haven't. Please be careful with these LED bulbs, I have just read something I wasn't fully expecting. The following statement is in small print from a seller of 68 LED headlight bulbs.
- Please note: LED bulbs are not as bright as standard incandescent bulbs but they are longer lasting and have a more vivid colour

I received the Waterproof Connectors yet and they are not enough strong to support the 10 Amps of both Fog Lights, so I modify the circuit: 1 Connector for each Light (this way is easier to quit too)
Inteast of using the Scotch Connectors you can solder the wires too

No problem, I only payed 2 GPB on each one, if doesn't light better than the original I will not use it... just trying

They are a very very good find Israel, so I will order some anyway, they will be good for my wife & me. My wife runs the battery down on her car 3 or 4 times at least every winter, so I will fit them in her car to stop that happening. LEDs use next to no power, so even if she leaves the lights on all night, the car would still start. I will also order some for my bike, when I am going to use the bike in very dark areas, or in the countryside I will just switch my spot lights on as well. They may not be as bright as a incandescent bulb, but don't let that put you off. I was just making you aware of that fact.

Ok! I received the handlebar switch and it is far to support 10A (the wire is 0,5 mm of cupper so the max Amps it support is 6 A). Looking at the wire I suposed the switch doesn't support more than a few amps so I will solve the problem using a relay + socket (2 GBP solution on eBay)
30A 12V DC Fixed Back Socket Relay 4 Pin
As it is socket I don't need to fix it to the headlight, it could be placed free. I will connect all wires to the Aux Headlight Connector because I will need less than 10 Amps for both Fog Lights
I will upgrade the diagram soon

Some years ago I buyed a Xenon Kit for the Headlight and tried it on my intruder
It was a really good difference, the light temperatures was more cold (more white than yellow), the light was uniform all around the lens if you look at the lamp and the road was better illuminated (not really more distance but more clear close to the bike)
After some time I removed it because I don't trust very much in Chinese Quality of the kit and it works in High Voltage... Safety first! LOL
I expected a similar change with this new bulb for the original lamps... maybe not so good as the Xenon, but well... will see!!

I updated the wiring diagram for the LED Fog Lights 30W with a Relay connected to the Aux Headlight Connector
As the switch is far to be waterproof (this is a very cheap project so it is 6€) you can cover it all around with a waterproof cloth strip fixed with a velcro and a bridle to the handlebar (this way you can't see the button, but you know where it is) or in other hand you can put some silicone close to the contacts (on the back side) to prevent water to wet the electric installation
I'm sure you can find a solution!!

I received the Fog Lights today Finally they are 30W Light (1200 Lm) but only 12w power (1 Amp) each, so I try them with a DC charger 12V 2A connected directly to the switch (as current is not high the switch can open/close the circuit without problem)
You can start the bike with the fog lights ON Others lights more.... but these lights are 25€ both I will install them to the bar when received using a spacer, this way I can place the turn lights upside down
