| Hi guys, I am looking for any recommendations on windscreens? I would like a tall one I think about a 22/23 inch so the top is above my eye line and probably about 20+ inches wide. A screen like the ones on the HD Road King, I just don't know there measurements. Also if there is any available one with the batwing style edges so it protects the handlebars. I already have hand deflectors so those bits have been covered already. Cheers | |

| If you are fitting a tall screen on your bike you may want to consider fitting some lowers also, they will eliminate much if not all of the buffeting you may experience from a tall screen. There is a very good section on homemade lowers in the Screens lowers and wind deflector thread. | |

I had one for a few years mate. Gives great weather & wind protection but does catch a lot of insects in the summer. It's very sturdy, around 5mm thick and doesn't scratch that easily either. A good choice, if a little more expensive than most non OEM offerings. The only thing I found with mine was that the tapered fork clamps used to loosen over time and eventually had "stretched" to a point where they wouldn't hold the forks tight enough for my liking ( I am a bit OCD over stuff like that though so may have been just me ) I replaced with a batwing fairing last year, which I wouldn't be without now. The screen for the batwing is the top part of the Slipstreamer screen cut down and shaped / drilled. Take note of Loweys comments, he's absolutely bang on the money. You won't believe how much buffeting you can get from underneath a screen and "lowers" do eliminate most if not all of this. | |
