Yes, yes, I know I don't have an 800, but then again, most of the main contributors to this forum currently don't own one. (Looking at you, Sim and Mal)

Some of you already know me as L-Plate Son, or JohnBoss's son, Richard. I figured since I already technically contribute, through helping JohnBoss upload photos, brainstorm ideas for the word association game, and think of insults for you old gits, that I'd make an account.

I hope I don't become too scarred for life by joining here.

Yep! he's just about ready for the knackers yard, he's been rambling incoherently about BMW's and touring bikes a lot lately, that's one of the first signs that he's 'on his way'...... Poor old sod.

That's the problem with youth of today - too much time wasted on unimportant things. Back in the days when I had my TS 185, I was more interested in thrashing the knackers off it round the local train sidings. Think the first bike I ever spent time cleaning was my Z 650 (before your time Justin)

Just because you lot don't have the energy to be able to clean yours as often any more... 

At our age, you're aware of how little time you actually have left & how few riding seasons you're going to be able to enjoy. At that point, having a sparkling bike is not a high priority

Always have a clean bike - you never know when a very nice American girl might ask if she can sit on it!  Same rules for similar ends applies to underwear.

From experience I've found that the sort of girl who wants to sit on my bike is not the sort I'd want anywhere near my underwear. Not that I tend to wear any !

That's why we have kids! cleaning dads car/bike all part of the process of growing up

No way would I let any of my kids anywhere near my car, bike, CD/DVD collection, power tools etc. - basically, anything worth more than 10p

We'll assume that at some point it's your intention to trade up to an Intruder of some description (& then swap it for a Harley!!!)
