| Hi everyone,
How many of you ride in the rain? I know I get caught in it all the time, like this Morning, I had to ride in Fog so thick it may as well been Rain , I was soaked by the time I reached my destination! lol
So here is what I have been thinking about ever since I started Riding 45 years ago. wouldn't it be nice to have either a helmet/ Sunglasses/ or even a wind screen that has wipers? our visibility in rain is greatly diminished, and if you don't have a windscreen, you have to keep wiping your face shield or goggles/sunglasses to see what is ahead of you. Or worse, if you have a windscreen, then there is no way to see clearly while in a downpour or heavy fog.
Some folks would just tell me to use rain x, and while that does work well on glass, it ruins the plastics that make up most of our protective equipment due to the fact it will turn it yellow in short time with sunlight exposure, I know I have been there and had that happen to me when I had bikes with windscreens or helmets with face shields.
So I'm thinking that we need a portable windshield wiper system that is battery operated and can attach via a suction cup but we would need 3 designs, one for Face shields, one for windscreens and a mini set for glasses that can attach via a clip like the add on shades.
Now some folks will tell me get off the road asap! while I do agree somewhat with that statement Sometimes we get caught in a situation where we are on the highway or have to be somewhere at a certain time and stopping is either unsafe if on busy Highway or we just have to keep going due to time constraints.
Now IF we can just get someone to actually invent such a system! | |
