New Grips Fitted To Suzuki M800 / M50

Well thought I may as well copy the rest of the forum.£14.99 ebay.Seem very comfortable (at the moment) either way look good and a very cheap mod.

They are a lovely grip at sill prices, good buy

The little screws on the end caps were loose on mine ... have a check and give them a turn or two.

Fitted my cheapo versions today, I like them Has anyone had any issue's with the allen screws falling out ? is it worth putting some loctite on them.

Hi Sim,Badger left me a tip over the small screws and he was right they do come loose,so the answer would be locktite.

Oh no why do you guys keep posting about these cheap grips that you paid next to nothing for including the grips and the throttle boss for hardly any money at all. in fact it is so little money that it almost seems they are giving you a present. You know it winds Dave up everytime he see's these lovelly but very very very cheap grips because he paid loads and loads of money for the very very very expensive genuine Kuryakyn grips that are so much more dearer than these very cheap grips that they are almost giving away.

Please stop it, it ain't nice to keep going on about how cheap they are

PS they look rather expensive for such an extreeeeeeemly cheap set Simbo, nice buy mate.

hey guys why don't you just try tighening them first fitted mine 11 month ago and no probs but after readig this post i've just checked em !

their still tight thank goodness, If you go down the locktite route use the weak one in case you want to alter or remove if you use the strong one good luck loosening them

Couple of screws and your there, don't sound very helpfully I know but when you have undone them and the housing comes apart you will be surprised at how simple it is

Is it me or are people using superglue on left grip?
I thought you screw them on tight?

They don't screw on, they push on.
Don't use super glue as it is strong but brittle & would give way when used the rubber that it contacts eventually. I used UHU on the left one.

Another thing to use is double sided tape,this is what a lot of people use on golf clubs.

No because it is ment to move, if you stick that one you ain't going anywhere

The one on the right is held in place by the switch housing.

Hairspray is another one to use, I just spat on mine and slid it on seems to be stuck ok.

believe it or not,i couldnt get my left hand grip off,so i pushed the wd40 straw down it, a quick spray and it came off easy.then i put wd 40 on the new grip to slide it on and hey presto its stuck on now.what a wonderful invention

Throttle boss...you rest your wrist on it to give your fingers a stretch etc.

Well....yes, I installed the grips....
..and messed up my throttle...

I have no bloody idea how the hell is this throttle dual cable adjustment meant to work... I loosened them both to get the cables out from old grip but once I had the new one in it was an hour of pain and misery to get it adjusted so the grip comes back to its place....

it's either getting stuck at where you turn it, or does not come back fully... or there is a slack on the cables.... That's so frustrating!

I got no clue how to set it right.... :(
