| Hi, looking for loader pipes for my 2005 vl800, standard are ok but just bland. Looking for something that stands out and louder? Looking for something from UK as import tax is a killer. Also will I have to remap or adjust fuel injection Many thanks George Ps. I was the guy that asked about the brakes, you were right brakes are fine just not used to one disc and rear drum thanks. As you can see now own vl800. | |

| Vance and Hines Cruzers sound really nice on the Intruders, many members have got these fitted on their bikes. If you only change the exhaust the ECU should manage the change on a fuel injected bike. | |

| As Jeff said if its only the exhaust that is being changed and the air filter is left as stock then the FI module will be fine with it. I have only personaly heard the V&H Cruizers on an Intruder & they sound great but sound of pipes is very personal thing with pipes, one mans music is another mans noise | |

| Fuel injection will cope with only one of the two (exhaust or air-filter) being changed without a second thought. As for the pipes, I agree with Crash, they are very personal to the listener. However saying that though, I have the Cruzer's and love them. The only pipes I have heard better than them are Sim's V&H Pro-pipes, now the are beautiful, just beautiful, music to the ear's. | |

Thanks G If it's a loud rumble your after? I'd go V&H Cruzers or Jardine Rumblers, very similar pipe in looks and sound, Big Shots sound good too! I like the longer pipe look so went for the Pro Pipe which sounds good with good length, I also have the Straight shots which look equally good IMO but the sound is a bit farty in comparison to the others. It's all down to personal taste and budget at the end of the day, Happy pipe choosing

| Hi, well gone and done it got a cruzer exhaust on way. Could anyone tell me if it comes with the air sensor plug or do I have to get it drilled and welded. I know there is a thread about the size of the plugs etc just can't find it. Thanks | |

| It probably will not come with the lamba sensor, but you can have it drilled to fit one or you can have small eliminator plug fitted to keep the FI light off. I'm sure you will not regret your choice.
Just to add to this about the lamba sensor you can find all the information about this in the exhaust section.

Sounds sweet too, thanks again for all the advice guys! Only thing has a backfire on throttle blip, I know don't blip it then lol. Going to get a blanking plug for co2 plug Pictures to follow here is one of stock exhaust before

| Looks so shiny inside and out when brand new You might need to block of the PAIR valve to get rid of the backfire. Why not just clip the pin23 wire on the ECU to disable the O2 sensor completely ? | |

| DucSjulle what's the pair valve? See you have power Pro tuner too is that a necessary mod what else does it do? G | |

| The PAIR valve is an emission controlling device, letting a small amount of air into the exhaust when you lift of the throttle, to ignite unburned gas. See this thread: https://www.suzuki800.com/t435-pair-valve-leave-it-or-lose-it-c800-c50-m800-m50-vz800?highlight=Pair+valveAnd you do not need a FI controller when you only change the exhaust. When I got my bike, it had the Cruzers, standard airfilter, and the pin23 wire cut, and drove just fine. You only need the Fi tuner if you decide to get a free flowing air filter too, to adjust the amount of fuel to the increased airflow from the filter.

| Looking at doing PAIR valve mod, got kit coming from US, read thread so, may try that to stop backfire. If not then as above will get Mike to weld boss on rear pipe and refit sensor. | |

| I like the sound of the " backfire" although I think its far from the noise of a back fire more of a healthy rumble | |
