| I have only heard Mr Intruders V&H cruisers which sound very loud and very nice. He reckons that Simbos V&H pro pipe are the cream of the cream and are amazing. Straight though pipes are very loud and I know some like them but as a rule I think straight through pipes sound shit and are far to raspy | |

| Most after markets sound better than stock. Generally speaking the more you pay the better they are. I had cheaper Highway Hawks on my Intruder. They sounded great but were only single wall and got stupidly hot. My V&H I currently run on my VN are double wall - no melted boots now! Personally I really rate having a free flowing air filter, fuel processor and pipes without a baffle for that full on cruiser deep sound. However it all costs and many who go to after markets find them too loud after a while. I have pipes only with no extras and baffles in and my bike still turns heads wherever I go. Just my four penneth. I agree the Pro-Pipe is probably the daddy of them all for out and out rumble. Failing that, 2 into 2 pipes give a nice burble. For me 50% of cruiser appeal is about sound and so after markets are essential upgrades. Have fun - your bike is about to be transformed yet again! | |

| I have always admired the finger in the air given by some motorcyclists although I must admit that I am very careful of the exhaust sounds when in particular situations. | |

| If you dont want to keep the bike running with the useless CO2 sensors then the year of manafacture makes no difference as they will all fit from any year | |

| Those pipes 'have' the co2 sensor bosses fitted to them, if you 'don't' want the co2 sensors on your bike? you can just block the bosses off with a bolt, your bike will work fine without the co2 sensors connected but the FI light will flash on the clock, To stop it flashing you'll need to cut 'wire 23' on the ECU or fit co2 eliminators to fool the ECU that they're connected, either way your bike will run fine | |

| If you like loud then the Jardine rumblers are not any louder than a lot of after market pipes including my V&H Cruzers which I believe are louder and sound better. If you like loud buy straight through pipes. | |

| So. its possible to buy the cobra pipes without the CO2 sensor holes, for an intruder any year, then drill the holes at a professional guy for the sensors? because the pipes with holes are more expensive and i have to talk with a store in USA that will place the order at cobrausa then wait for the pipes to arrive then ship it to Ro....these ones for example http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cobra-Streetrod-Slashdown-Exhaust-Suzuki-Volusia-800-C50-C50B-C50T-M50-3917-/141122666242?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20db90ff02&vxp=mtr Or no drilling just " you can just block the bosses off with a bolt, your bike will work fine without the co2 sensors connected but the FI light will flash on the clock, To stop it flashing you'll need to cut 'wire 23' on the ECU or fit co2 eliminators to fool the ECU that they're connected, either way your bike will run fine " what do you say guys? | |

| Cutting the wire does a bit more than just turning the light off, that makes it sound a little more simple than it is, it's the HO2 control selector. So no it doesn't turn it off, it is not activated in the first place to get turned off. It is very cheap & easy to get the bosses fitted if desired but they simply are not required, better to disable the CO2 sensor. | |

| ok i ordered some Cobra streetrod pipes( with no holes for the CO2 sensors). what i am worried about now is that some people are saying that disabling the CO2 sensors will have a negative efect on the engine, it wont be the good mixture of gases and will affect the engine... i am waiting or this ones http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cobra-Streetrod-Chrome-Exhaust-Suzuki-Intruder-Volusia-800-C50-M50-0108-TR3717-/360933532720 | |

| Got to agree with Crash, if others have advised you differently then you need to ask them for their reasoning as we disagree and see it as no more than pollution control. Good for the environment but does nothing for the bike. | |

| No disrespect taken matey, I can see why if your unsure you would be a little concerned. Please dont take offence from what we have said but we all believe it is a good thing to do but if you have been told its not then asking them why it isnt would be good for you and letting us know could be good for us to but I believe they are wrong Please keep us informed if you find out any negative thing about it because we cant see any in any way, We have tried to explain the process to you in this thread and I cant see what else we can do if you are finding out information in any way that we have not got or agree with from somewhere else | |

| Sure is blocked off, must of changed from the 2011 models on-wards? The only place I can think of thats sells them in the UK is ( Custom Cruisers ) who members get a 10% discount from when quoting this site. I am sure there must be loads of other sellers on ebay and other places as well. You need 2 eliminators | |

| Your calculation is good Chuckie, This is a picture of my ECU, If you look at yours, blocked off are 23/24/29/30 looking at mine only 30 is blocked off, 2009 VL800 with 2 co2 sensors, I wonder if it's due to the country or all later models are like this? Your bike does actually have co2 sensors in the exhaust? Send these an Email, they'll sort you out with the eliminators. http://www.customcruisers.com/Custom2005/customshop2005-copy/index.html my ECU | |

| I've been chasing this for months. It seems no one actually knows what the f1 wire is on the 2013. I have been told, pun 6.. Just cut the black and white one. My ocd won't let me do anything till I know for sure. Pm me if you ever get it sorted... I'll do the same. | |

| This is true. The ecm was upgraded from the 2012 to the 2013 and it is 'smart' enough to register the change in input and errors out. I have 3 sets of eliminators sitting on my shelf all different shorts. I have corresponded with Suzuki (No ass istance), Powercommander in US, Local shops and I finally just drilled out the exshaust and unplugged the PCV because it seemed I was the only person in the whole of google with this issue. It seems I am not so if anyone finds out anything.. do post and let us know. Not that I am that concerned anymore because I am putting my bike up for sale next month to buy something easier to play with. :) | |
