| First two are standard hieght and new 2.5 lower dog bones. Second two are of standard hight dog bones and the lower 2.5 dog bones, about 1 hours work. Look out if you have a sissy seat as the bolts going trough the support arms can rub just cut and file down. This makes the handling excellent and even with pillion does not rub, just watch speed bumps | |

Thats great to hear & thats exactly what made me start the site, the 800's just didn't seem to have a place to call there own. Its not the same being part of a forum that caters for all sorts when the 800's are so popular and deserve there own slot Also to be honest I am extremely happy that you did find us from a selfish point of view as you have contributed so very much to the site in an unbelievably short time that will inspire members

| I wanted to go for the 3" kit but reading all the good and bad points I went for the 2.5" due to the grounding of the 3" on humpes and bumps.
But dont get me rong the look is awsum and if I had the brass nads I would have done it to.

| Are these lowering kits a bad idea, if the bike normally carries a pillion and sometimes luggage as well? | |

| I get the wife and kit on my bike and its fine but it just depends on the size of wife and the amount of kit.
If you do loads of traveling then get a trailer and then you know the lower look well never be questioned.

| Have them made from the Dave's measurements post above, You can only usually get them from the US and with postage (which double's the price) it works out cheaper to get them made up from an engineering works. | |

| What do you guys think about adjustable lowering links, like this:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Motorcycle-Lowering-Link-fit-Suzuki-GSX-R600-2011-Lowering-Link-Kits/32280719439.html
I'm not sure yet, how low will I want to go, so these could be adjusted easily. And with this kind of price level I would not bother to fabricate bones myself.
But would this kind of dog bone work, I mean would this be too thick to be bolted on M800/C800? Or maybe something else? Has anyone these kind of bones?

| They look too thick to me? Some company's do adjustable lowering bones with three holes in for one, two and three inch lower, you just find the hight that suits and then leave them in that position. | |
